About this category
Every organisation has somebody who quietly holds it together: the colleague who steps in, solves the problem and never asks for thanks.
The Women Unsung Hero of the Year Award gives that person the recognition their colleagues, customers and community already know they deserve.
Eligibility
Open to nominees from every sector, of any size, based in or serving the region. Self-nominations and nominations made by others are both welcome. Open to women.
Judging criteria
Entries are judged on the difference the nominee makes to the people around them, going beyond their role, and the respect they have earned.
Qualitative criteria
- How they go beyond what is asked of them
- The difference they make to colleagues or customers
- What others say about them
Metrics
- Examples of problems solved or people helped
- Feedback from colleagues, customers or the community
Additional criteria
Nominations from colleagues are especially welcome. Include examples and, if you can, a few words from the people they have helped.
