About this category
The Women-Led Business Achievement Award recognises one achievement that set a business apart this year: a contract won, a market entered, a turnaround completed or a milestone reached.
It is open to every business, whatever its size or sector, with a story worth telling.
Eligibility
Open to nominees from every sector, of any size, based in or serving the region. Self-nominations and nominations made by others are both welcome. The business must be led by a woman.
Judging criteria
- Entries are judged on the significance of the achievement
- The challenge overcome
- The results that followed and the evidence that supports them
Qualitative criteria
- What the business set out to do
- What made it difficult
- What it changed for the business and its customers
Metrics
- Results in figures
- Customers, jobs or markets gained
Additional criteria
- Include a short account of the achievement
- The results and a word from a customer or partner
