The Supply Chain Team of the Year celebrates a supply chain management team that coordinates the flow of materials and products from suppliers to customers, and keeps it resilient when the world makes it hard. It recognises the whole team, not one person: the way they work together, the results they deliver and the difference they make to colleagues, customers and the organisation. Teams from any sector and any size of organisation can enter.
Eligibility
- Open to supply chain management teams in any sector and any size of organisation
- In-house teams, departments and shared-service teams are all eligible
- The entry should describe the team, its members and its role in the organisation
Judging criteria
- Results: what the team has delivered and how it is measured
- Teamwork: how the team works together and supports one another
- Impact: the difference made to the organisation, its customers or its people
- Improvement: new ideas, better ways of working and lessons learned
Qualitative criteria
- Shared purpose and clear goals
- Collaboration across the team and the organisation
- Supportive culture and development of team members
- Pride in the quality of their work
Metrics
- Supply chain costs and stock levels
- Supplier performance and lead times
- Disruption anticipated and handled
- Sustainability improvements across the chain
Additional criteria
- Achievements should fall mainly within the last two years
- Supporting figures are treated in confidence
- Testimonials from colleagues or customers strengthen an entry
